our story


Multi-faceted hospitality business delivering both retail and events across two iconic London venues.

Since 2011, the company’s revenues and team, have more than doubled.

Green & Fortune was founded by John Nugent and Peter Millican having met when Peter was looking at design options and potential operators for his development, Kings Place. In the intervening period they agreed to create a new entity to deliver both the hospitality and catering services but equally as important, create and develop new business streams beyond Kings Place.

Since then, Green & Fortune has grown to become an industry recognised player and a byword for both quality and approachability. Our business is one centred around food and drink, and the realisation of its importance to any social occasion. We are, across our entire organisation, driven by our passion for people, exceptional products and bags of personality.

Success has also been recognised through a number of industry accolades over the last 4 years including; Event Space of the Year, Venue Team of the Year (Event Awards), Retail and Leisure Caterer of the Year, Event Caterer of the Year, Salesperson of the Year and Catering Manager of the Year (Foodservice Catey Awards) as well as Best Conference Venue and Best Catering at a Venue (London Venue Awards).

We specialise across two key sectors of the hospitality industry: retail and events.

Whilst other companies may excel in one or the other we have built a successful business doing both. For us, hospitality is in the blood, from a cup of coffee to a high profile event – every moment matters. It’s all about the little details; the personal care and attention that our people give to all our customers. From sales and marketing, full event management, award-winning retail capabilities and complete operational delivery, Green & Fortune boasts a team brimming with expertise.

Our Growth


The business was launched just as the recent recession hit. We had to wrestle with the challenges that this presented. We knew that we had to grow our business rapidly and gain market share quickly.

We have continued to invest in the business and grow revenue streams across all strands of the business, with revenues at Kings Place having grown more than 60% since 2011.

2016 also saw our business expand, taking responsibility for the catering at our second site at Sea Containers.  This not only saw us double our team, but introduce additional retail and hospitality brands to Green & Fortune.

We now have a thriving hospitality business incorporating 6 significant retail outlets and 2 event brands.
