Green and Fortune

Celebrating 15 Years

October 2023 marks the fifteenth anniversary of Green & Fortune, the award-winning independent operator has planned a month of celebrations across the business.

Green & Fortune Supports

Since the beginning, charity has been at the heart of what Green & Fortune do, with a large proportion of the celebratory initiatives incorporating giving back to the community, which we’ll be spotlighting throughout the month of October.

These include donating £15,000 over the anniversary period to local charities and 15 employees will be given the opportunity to donate 15 working hours to volunteer for charities including Copenhagen Street Food Bank, The London Irish Centre, Hospitality Action and New Horizon Youth Centre.

Rotunda Bar & Restaurant

We will be bringing back daily specials from the original 2008 menu at the special price of £12.50 each, the same price they were 15 years ago, available Monday – Friday 12-7pm.

Dishes will include Corneyside Farm steak and ale pie, with mashed potato, Texel lamb burger with Greek salad and fries. Corneyside Farm steak with fries and béarnaise sauce and smoked haddock, prawn and flat parsley fish cake with curry velouté.

2008 wine prices will be reintroduced with house wine at £14.50 a bottle Monday – Friday 5pm – 7pm.

The highlight of the month will be a special celebratory lunch and party on 15th October. Featuring a 4 course menu inspired by popular dishes from 2008, priced at £59.50 including a welcome cocktail, a £15 donation to New Horizon Youth Centre and live music throughout the afternoon.

Events

At each venue, the company will offer 15% off room hire for any new bookings throughout October at Kings Place Events, Sea Containers Events and Rose Court Events.

Green & Fortune operates some of the capital’s most prestigious retail and event sites and has gained a reputation as the go-to operator with a forward-thinking stance on guest and dining experiences.

Underlining its focus on exceptional hospitality and creating an employee first environment, Green & Fortune are proud to have been shortlisted for 15 awards over the last 12 months including Event Caterer of The Year (G&F) at the Foodservice Cateys, Best Conference Venue (Kings Place Events), Best Venue with Outside Space (Rose Court Events), and Best Summer Party Venue (Sea Containers Events) at the London Venue and Catering Awards this year.

John Nugent, Chief Executive at Green & Fortune, said: “We are thrilled to celebrate 15 years as a business.  Green & Fortune was the first restaurant, events and hospitality company to launch in the new look Kings Cross and I am proud to have been an early adopter of the area with visionary developer, Peter Millican.  We have been involved with many great people, community groups and commercial organisations in this time and this sense of community is at our core as a company.   Launching the business in 2008 had many challenges, especially the worldwide financial crisis that came at that time.  Today, to be partnering with great organisations and four of London’s premium venues, is a very proud moment for us all.   I am delighted to have created a business, born out of modest roots in Kings Cross, that now has both a London and international reach.   We have had and continue to have great people on this journey  and without them, Green & Fortune would not be what it is today”.
