Kings Place recently hosted an invitation only special showcase evening in collaboration with our preferred entertainment partner, Eight Ray Music. Working jointly with Eight Ray Music, and as part of their ‘Sounds Purple’ series, the evening’s 100 guests were treated to a night of music and food, showcasing our credentials to host creative events whilst enjoying a special performance with Okiem and his orchestra and vocalists Fortune.
Guest were greeted with a Champagne cocktail on the Kings Place Gallery which was lit with fuchsias and mauves, creating a colourful backdrop to canapé selection including poached lobster, dried tomato and lobster bisque on a squid ink tapioca crisp and compressed watermelon with gochujang relish, crispy calamari and shiso cress.
Following this, guests were seated in Hall Two which was also given the wow-factor treatment with deep purples lighting and dramatic chandelier suspended from the ceiling above the grand piano, creating an intimate setting for Okiem’s hour-long performance. Okiem was joined onstage by a 12-piece orchestra including a special performance by Fortune, this being their first time performing on stage in front of a specially gathered audience.
Guests were encouraged to stay on for an after party held in the recently refurbished space, the St Pancras Room. The hospitality continued with a final service of bowl food, an interactive poké station and dessert table.
