An Unforgettable Valentine’s Night at Kings Place
Last night, Kings Place played host to something truly extraordinary. On Valentine’s Day, the legendary Prince delivered two surprise performances in Hall One, turning an already special date into a moment of music history.
Originally hinted as an intimate acoustic appearance, the evening quickly evolved into two high-energy sets with Prince and 3rdeyegirl, blending stripped-back moments with full-force performances. The atmosphere inside the room was charged — close, spontaneous and unmistakably special.
Green & Fortune manages all corporate events, catering and food and beverage at Kings Place, and we were proud to support the delivery of these surprise shows at short notice, working closely with the Kings Place Music Foundation to bring everything together quickly and seamlessly. From front-of-house hospitality to food and drink throughout the venue, our teams worked at pace behind the scenes to ensure the focus stayed exactly where it should — on the music.
Reflecting the spirit of the night, one member of the Kings Place team summed it up simply: “This is why live music matters. Nothing about it was planned — and that’s what made it perfect.”
Moments like this are rare. A world-class artist, an intimate room and an audience fully present in the experience. Valentine’s Day 2014 will be remembered at Kings Place for a long time to come — and we were honoured to play our part.
