We are proud to announce that Green & Fortune has achieved B Corp certification, formally recognising our long standing commitment to operating a values first hospitality business that balances sustainable growth with positive social and environmental impact.
Achieving B Corp status marks an important milestone for our business and reinforces our position as one of London’s leading independent caterers, built on responsible practices that place equal importance on people, planet and community.
Founded in 2008 by John Nugent and Peter Millican, Green & Fortune has grown into an award winning hospitality company known for creating unique culinary and cultural destinations within multi format venues across the capital. The certification comes at an exciting time of continued growth, with £20m+ revenue expected for 2026, up from £17.5m+ in 2024, alongside the upcoming opening of four new food and beverage concepts at London Museum in Smithfield later this year. Earlier in 2026, we were appointed exclusive catering and hospitality partner for the new London Museum, one of the most significant cultural hospitality contracts in the capital, opening in late 2026.
B Corp certification follows our continued efforts to meet and exceed verified standards of performance, accountability and transparency, principles that have been embedded in Green & Fortune since day one.
A defining part of our approach to sustainable operations and reducing carbon emissions is the use of our own farm in Northumberland, which supplies all beef and lamb to our flagship venues at Kings Place, including Rotunda Bar & Restaurant, Kings Place Events and the Green & Fortune Café.
Kings Place is also home to an on site butcher and hanging room, from which select cuts are supplied across our wider portfolio, ensuring quality, traceability and reduced food miles across everything from café sandwiches to restaurant menus.
Community impact remains central to what we do. Since 2019, our annual St Patrick’s Day fundraising event has raised more than £272,000 for charitable causes including Hospitality Action and The London Irish Centre.
Alongside this, we continue to support efforts to reduce food poverty in London, having donated more than 20,000 meals to Copenhagen Street Food Bank in King’s Cross, a programme launched during the pandemic and sustained ever since. All Green & Fortune employees are also given an annual paid charity day.
Operating exclusively within London allows us to demonstrate our values consistently across every venue, investing directly in the city’s people, places and economy.
We champion a London based workforce, partner with local organisations to recruit and develop talent and work with a supply chain centred on London based suppliers, more than 50% of whom are independent operators.
Supporting our teams remains a core priority. Green & Fortune is London Living Wage accredited and has paid above the London Living Wage since December 2021, consistently introducing wage increases ahead of government timelines.
Employee initiatives include an employee assistance programme, cost of living payments and annual salary reviews structured to deliver the greatest impact for lower paid team members.
Today, we employ more than 250 people across London and continue to nurture development at all levels through our Talent Seed Programme and Leadership Academy, supporting long term careers within hospitality.
Together, these principles underpin our role in supporting London’s hospitality, cultural and creative ecosystems while reinforcing our belief in responsible growth.
