Green & Fortune Appointed to Deliver Hospitality at Ogilvy & Mather’s New Sea Containers Headquarters

We’re pleased to share that Green & Fortune has been appointed as the hospitality partner for Ogilvy & Mather’s new London headquarters at Sea Containers, marking an exciting new chapter for our business.

The long-term partnership will see Green & Fortune operate all food, drink and events facilities within the landmark building on London’s South Bank, which Ogilvy & Mather is currently refurbishing ahead of occupation in early 2016. Once open, Sea Containers will bring Ogilvy & Mather’s teams together under one roof, alongside MEC, another WPP company.

Our remit at Sea Containers will span a wide range of hospitality and event spaces, reflecting both the scale of the building and the ambition of the partnership. Facilities will include contemporary café spaces, two bars, a restaurant and lounge, staff dining areas, a private dining room with panoramic views across London, a 250-seat amphitheatre and a series of flexible event and entertaining spaces.

The appointment reinforces Green & Fortune’s position as an operator working at the intersection of in-house workplace hospitality and commercial events, delivering services that go beyond traditional contract catering models.

Commenting on the partnership, Green & Fortune CEO John Nugent said:

“Before 2008, we saw the long-term opportunity in King’s Cross and were the first significant food and events operator to commit to an area that has since become one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. We invested through a challenging recession and not only survived, but helped create new markets in a place that had long been defined by its past.

Green & Fortune has never fitted neatly into a traditional foodservice or contract catering category. That flexibility, commercial focus and long-term approach are exactly what we will bring to Ogilvy & Mather at Sea Containers — and what attracted them to us in the first place.”

Sea Containers represents a significant new development for both Ogilvy & Mather and the wider South Bank, with over 225,000 sq ft being transformed into a modern headquarters designed to bring creative teams together.

For Green & Fortune, the partnership marks another milestone in our growth, as we continue to work with forward-thinking clients in some of London’s most exciting new buildings. As we look ahead to opening in 2016, we’re excited to begin shaping a hospitality offer that supports creativity, collaboration and community at the heart of the workplace.
