Welcoming Sarah Miller as Managing Director
We’re delighted to welcome Sarah Miller to Green & Fortune as our Managing Director, a newly created role that strengthens our senior leadership team as we continue to grow and evolve as an independent hospitality business.
Sarah joins us from BaxterStorey, where she spent twelve years and most recently held the role of Regional Managing Director, overseeing a number of key locations and client accounts. Her appointment marks an important step as we look ahead to the next phase of Green & Fortune’s journey, focused on sustainable growth, innovation and investment in our people.
Leading Our Business Day to Day
As Managing Director, Sarah will lead Green & Fortune’s executive team and oversee the day-to-day running of the business. She will work closely with teams across our venues to develop existing operations, explore new revenue streams and identify opportunities that support our long-term ambitions.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience from across the hospitality sector, having led operations at some of the UK’s most respected cultural and event destinations, including Glyndebourne Opera House, Somerset House, Leeds Castle and the Royal Albert Hall. Her background reflects the full breadth of what Green & Fortune does today, from event venues and staff dining to restaurants, bars and cafés.
Commenting on joining the business, Sarah said:“I’m very excited to have joined Green & Fortune. I was drawn to the role by the company’s strong reputation within the industry, and I’ve been impressed by both the people and the product. I’m really looking forward to working with the team to shape the future of the business and its growth potential.”
A Strong Foundation for Growth
Sarah’s arrival comes at a time of solid performance for Green & Fortune. Over the past two years, turnover has more than doubled, reaching £17.5 million in the year ending 31 March 2024, with year-on-year revenues growing by 16% in the previous twelve months. This momentum provides a strong platform as we continue to invest in our venues, our teams and the guest experience.
Founder and CEO John Nugent added:
“A huge welcome to Sarah. I’m delighted to have her on board. Sarah is an exceptional individual with deep experience and knowledge — hospitality is part of her DNA. She’s someone I’ve respected from afar for many years and she joins us at an exciting time as we build on our recent successes and plan for future growth.”
Looking Ahead
Sarah’s appointment reflects our continued focus on building a leadership team that supports both our people and our long-term vision. With strong foundations in place and a clear sense of direction, we’re excited about what the future holds for Green & Fortune. We’re thrilled to have Sarah as part of the team and look forward to the next chapter together.
