St. Patrick’s Charity Fundraiser is Back for a Fourth Year

Tickets Sold Out – JustGiving Page Launched for Online Donations

We will once again hold our St. Patrick’s Day lunch to raise funds for The Clink and The London Irish Centre. This year’s event will be held on 18th March at Kings Place.

The lunch has received such fantastic support from the hospitality industry and the Irish business community that it is now sold out with 190 guests joining the lunch.

There have been many offers of further support so in addition to the lunch, we have launched online fundraising alongside this year’s event. If supporters are unable to attend in person, donations to these two fantastic charities can also be made via a JustGiving page.

A free pint of Guinness will be available to all people who donate, available to enjoy in Rotunda Bar and Restaurant in King’s Cross before 25th March.

The St. Patrick’s Day event is back for a fourth year. In 2021 fundraising was delivered through at home restaurant kits delivered across the UK with live events in both 2019 and 2020. Previous events have raised in excess of £40,000 for the two charities through ticket sales, auction and a raffle.

Green & Fortune’s Chief Executive, John Nugent comments:  “It’s great that we can host a live event again this year, after the pandemic forced us to celebrate at home last year. The St. Patrick’s Lunch is always well supported by the hospitality industry, but this year we are particularly pleased with how our reach has widened and how quickly tickets sold out. Thank you to everyone who has bought a ticket. If you aren’t able to join us, please consider supporting the work of these charities and donate online.”

The Clink Charity works in partnership with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service to deliver 11 training projects: 4 restaurants, 2 gardens, 3 kitchens, 1 events catering business and 1 café.

In 1955 the London Irish Centre charity opened its doors to meet the needs of newly arrived Irish emigrants. Initially providing accommodation and welfare the Centre quickly became the focal point for all things Irish in London. Today the charity continues to be the Irish heart of London – the largest Irish community centre outside of Ireland and the largest Irish welfare charity in Britain.
